Has anyone tried an extended rb26 oil pan from Rob at RaceFab.

I just paid for one and was wondering what you guys think about it. Here in the USA we have team Raw Brokerage that builds oil pans for rb26. But like kyle from 6 Boost I thought I would trust in Rob to build a good unit for me. In doing so I can garranty sales from the USA and Caribbean countries either through me or direct.

Any comparisons would be helpful until I receive my unit. After arrival in take close photos of both and we all can make comparisons.

I use one of these from Performance Metalcraft in Rydalmere. I dont know what they retail for but they can be made to whatever spec you want. Ours is a 2WD so the diff is removed and holes plugged

and most of them leak due to using a porous alloy

I've got one. As per DCEIVE I haven't used it yet but it's a brilliantly made piece of kit.

Rob is a top bloke and easy to deal with.

The $150 each way in freight for a big heavy bulky sump is a killer but still a lot cheaper than anything locally (unfortunately).

Rob can build it exactly how you want it. I added numerous -10 fittings and an external oil pick up. The welds are AMAZINGLY good.

Yes Rob sent me a photo of the one he build for me. It looks great and can't wait to see it in person. If I'm happy with the work I'm sure I'll buy another and a friend of mine wants one for his r32 gtr

    • Realised I never posted this , also I never got a price

    • I have a VALCON if anyone wants it, I have no idea why you'd want to have VVT specifically broken out of the ECU as opposed to running it off the FCON/whatever standalone you have.
    • Hi Yes we're a bit optimistic we might get something out of sealing up the two pipes of the external wastegate and reactivating the stock one. I believe the orginal stock wastegate was tack welded shut. It doesn't budge and visually looks closed and sealed. The car has noticeably more lag so it could be at least part of the problem, maybe all. It's definately one of the key changes made since last tune. And it's one that's more difficult to fully understand and measure, not like for instance timing or cylinder compression.  Thanks for that feedback, we'll let you know how this progresses. Fingers crossed.   Regards Rob
