How To Prevent Wheel Stud Surface Rust?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to manage and prevent a build up of surface rust on wheel studs (due to running open ended lug nuts)?

It makes life difficult trying to get the bastards on and off at times as it builds up.

I had the same problem as all of my Skylines run open end nuts and it is a pain when the studs start to rust up.

I have been using Penrite Copper Eze now for years with no problems at all - and yes like others have said I always have a rage handy after a wheel change because some of this stuff will be on something and need wiping off.

Alright sounds like a plan. I would have thought a lubricant like loctite would be something to avoid though as it would give an innacurate torque when putting the wheel nuts back on?
