My take is that genuine EV14 injectors are made by Bosch as OE components . Not all EV14s are motorsport injectors and those that are have different part numbers generally starting with a "B" . AFAIK the motorsport EV14s come in a few different sizes and lengths and top out at around 1000cc . I think the ID1300 is a motorsport based injector with stainless internals , they may be the only EV14 that ID sell with diffuser plates over their tips . I think they are supplied to ID in final form and not modified in any way .

It's hard to know how much truth is online with modified / hi flowed EV14s and Bosch obviously would be reluctant to back a non standard injector . ID seems to have become the defacto standard for modified EV14s and heated arguments are on most boards about IDs being more expensive than say FIC Deutchworks etc and not being any better .

To me it looks like ID did a lot of homework and one source reckons ID is the only supplier of non standard EV14s to have CARB approval but not sure which injector or application .

The term characterisation gets mentioned and this is supposed to be about how well OE computers talk to these injectors ie GM and Ford boxes . I can see where this may make SFA difference to most aftermarket programmable computers that don't have OE type sophistication .

Anyway with luck I'll have an R33 lower inlet manifold to mock my S2 Stag (34GTt) rail on later this evening on so I'll know how close the rails feet are to the R33s manifold mounts .

A .

The R34GTt rail is nowhere close to being an easy fit to an R33 manifold , I did read somewhere that someone reckoned they filed a few holes and with spacers bolted it on .

The 34s L shaped rail brackets mount higher up on I think the water log section so something to think about .

yeah pretty sure thats why i gave up on it, you would have to chop the feed pipe off and feed from the rear, and the spacers would have to be shortened, but i had to do that with my aftermarket rail as well because of short injectors...

And all this talk about new stainless injectors when Scotty has been running the original xspurts in his car for years now and they haven't fallen apart on him...

Anyway mine comes with all fittings and plugs needed to bolt straight in and you get a free rail...600$, for injectors and rail ,without the fuel reg, only has 3000kms on them..Im not using them anytime soon :(

Mmm , can you PM me the damage without the injectors as I'm thinking of using a slightly larger version .

I really wanted to have both fuel lines at the front and an OE style reg .

BTW what sot of numbers did you get with the 750s and E85 ?

Cheers A .

Arts are you interested in selling the rail fittings and collars separate from your Xspurt injectors ?

Cheers A .

if it means you will finally upgrade your injectors disco, you can have it... :P Pm me your details man i will send it to you...its not pretty but it works...

what i need is a top feed rail to suit 1jz....not sure if vvti one is compatible...and then I will use them on my motor..

easy 300kws on e85...pushed to 315 or something but turbo ran out of puff

If express posted it may get here this afternoon .

I went back over your thread because it had pics of the install and noted that rail is not as deep as some so easier fit .

I've been looking at what short EV14s are available in the 740-1000cc range and it turns out that Adaptronic in Sydney sell ID850-34-14s which are intended for Chev 6-6.2L V8s .

That number means 34mm between the O rings and 14mm tops . So have to decided if the name brand is worth paying for or if the other is just as good .

Scotty was chasing up details on the shorty Xspurt 1000 which I can't find any mention of except in NZ where they advertise short 900cc EV14s .

A tad OT but can anyone tell me if the Tomei/Nismo adjustable direct fit reg is any higher flowing that the OE RB25DET one ?

Cheers A .

I have already told you I can supply short 44mm tip to tip Xspurt 1000's, your choice if you want to go with them or not.

Not an ev14, but the short Xspurt 1400cc eth/meth injectors idle perfectly and flow the numbers, just as I would expect. I would be going for those personally if you plan to run ethanol.

not sure , but it doesn't bolt to aftermarket rail unless you buy an adapter...adapter is 65$

    • It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.
    • Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.
    • I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen. But I could be wrong. https://gromaudio.com/vline/ The video I first saw was the following, with very little and unclear details.     Even if your not interested in the system, the video on their site was pretty comforting in showing how simple the whole centre comes out
    • hfygrte52 what side you looking for? Do you care what color car it's off? Found a white LH side on here: https://skylinespares.com.au/product/nissan-skyline-r33-coupe-rear-tail-light/   Aussie parts place but will ship to USA. Maybe get it before there's a tarrif on 25yo shit box parts
    • I’m with Shannon’s for all 5 of our cars. Agreed values seem fair, premium price is okay. ($210 ish a month, all comprehensive).  Have claimed once with them for a not at fault claim with another car where my car had no damage. Was one call after the incident and an email after. Deemed not at fault so premium didn’t go up either.    I have called up and spoken with people who are not familiar with certain cars and didn’t agree with me on value or let their personal vehicle preferences effect the call. But called back later and got someone else who was more agreeable.
