Hello everyone, this is my first post and i hope this is in the right area of the boards. If this has already been covered please point me in the right direction and excuse my ignorance. Ive tried google but did not find the answer i was looking for.

Anyways, i am pulling the rb26 out of my car and swaping it to another BNR32. My question is for droping the engine out the bottom with the crossmembers and suspension all intact. I see 8 bolts 2 on each side xmember. The front xmember is very accessible with bolts going trough the entire frame/xmember. The rear xmember with the stearing rack looks like the bolts are in the frame rail. ARE THE HEAD BOLTS GOING TO SPIN OR IS THERE A PLATE WELDED TO THE BOLTS IF I LOOSEN THEM OFF? Or am i over looking something? To me it looks like you would have to notch the rail to get a wrench in there, or a hole on top. Suspension is straight forward, and i would rather swap it out as one unit. Otherwise were going out the top! Thanks in advance.

They would be welded in so no they won't spin.

How the hell would they build the car in the first place if you can't get a spanner onto a nut or bolt to hold it while doing up a bolt or nut?

Thanks for the reply. I thought I would ask a question and look silly then to find out i need to get the torch out. I don't like hack jobs. If that was the case, I was just going to go through the top and take everything out I needed.

You make a strong point there, and I will not argue it. Thanks for the logic.
