hmmm i'd recommend getting your idle and cruise mixtures done at least for the run in...otherwise you could just be washing the bores.

with the settings at the moment everything is almost spot on cruise will hover around 14.5-14.7

I watched a 50k Cosworth motorsport engine bed in over a few races recently, the blowby was horrendous the first session, each race after that the rings sealed better, spewing less oil out any seal it could... It was built pretty loose though.

The more combustion pressure the harder the rings push on the cross hatch.

But you would pussyfoot around and risk not bedding the rings in, and running a half arsed tune to boot? Just get it tuned properly and rip skids.

What is bedding in then? The cross hatch wears down pretty quick, and if the rings aren't filed before it's gone... You have a shit engine.

Not max power, no.

I will be running my new 4G64 stroker in on the dyno soon, aiming for 250-300kw at sensible boost. Then I will wind it up a few months later, just before I change the transfer case and diff I imagine.

Running in is a misleading term.

I prefer bedding in the rings. That's That's the critical part,and as Scotty said,get it done quick.

I'm all for a quick, not gentle ring bedding process.
