Adz2332
Hey all Have a r33 GTST series 2 track car. Just bought a plazmaman Plenum and a HTA3076r turbo. Changing injectors and fuel pump at the moment. And will be running E85 Im going for some 1150cc Bosch injectors and walbro e85 pump. My question is, is it as easy as just buying a plazmaman top feed fuel rail and bolting it on to change from side feed to top feed, for the injectors? Or is there more to it? Any advice? Is the Plazmaman fuel rail a good bit of kit? or anything that would be better? Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443528-changing-from-side-feed-to-top-feed/ Share on other sites
scotty nm35
There are plenty of fuel rail kits out there, Plasmaman being on of the more expensive ones. I guess you are guaranteed it will fit under the plenum, although I usually recommend the Proflow ones since they modified them slightly to fit the RB25 better. What the hell is a 1150cc Bosch injector? Seems every supplier is bumping the flow numbers just to make their stock sound better. At what pressure does it flow 1150cc? I assume we are talking about 1000cc EV14's here? If you are running e85 have you looked at the injectors designed for that? (Xspurt 1400's and ID1300's) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443528-changing-from-side-feed-to-top-feed/#findComment-7291361 Share on other sites

Adz2332
well, they suggested 1000cc injectors, i asked for something slightly larger and they said bosch also have 1150cc injectors? Have i been led up the garden path? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443528-changing-from-side-feed-to-top-feed/#findComment-7291404 Share on other sites
Blackkers
Have you bought them already? They should do the job. If you have the 1000ccs there's no need to worry. If you haven't then have a look at the stainless internal options Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443528-changing-from-side-feed-to-top-feed/#findComment-7291416 Share on other sites
Adz2332
i have only part paid for them at the moment. But im more not happy if the trader has said they are bigger then the 1000cc ones, plus paying slightly extra when they are 1000cc ones. plus they claim them to be good for e85 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443528-changing-from-side-feed-to-top-feed/#findComment-7291427 Share on other sites

Ask them at what pressure they flow the claimed amount? If you look at the id1000 injectors for example, they flow pretty much bang on 1150 at 5 bar. Adz2332
from the trader... The EV14 BOSCH injectors are the most popular on the market today, come in 550cc, 725cc, 1000cc, 1150cc. Ben C34
There's also guys that sell the ealbro pumps and list the highest flow number (lowest pressure) to make them seem better. Adz2332
would i be better off spending a little less and just getting the 1000cc injectors? Ben C34
That came out shit (on mu phone) Look at the left column for pressure and the bright column for flow. 5 bar is pretty much 58psi. 3 bar is 43.5 which is the standard when specifying flow. Adz2332
Thanks mate. I know my GTR has 1000cc Bosch injectors and has been running E85 for a year and a half now. makes 389kws at the 4s. Im unsure of the head room of the injectors. The gtst will hopefully make around that mark also. So for what your saying for the set up the 1000ccs and the 1150ccs are either the same injector or on a normal set up will flow the same? bosch is ok with e85 tho correct? with stainless insides? Ben C34
Yep. That's right. At stock pressure both would flow 1000. And obviously they are fine with ethanol. It really seems like bullshit to me.
