It would be much cheaper to buy a smaller muffler than to resize one you have. You could probably make money by selling the second hand one you have

I suspect this is true, as carbon buildup makes welding a biatch, it would need to be cleaned up very well, inside and out.

I can get some pretty cheap stainless mufflers these days if that's what you want. I usually recommend Magnaflow mufflers though, or Varex if you want it quiet.

It's 2nd hand but never got fitted, my friend sold his car before it's on.
