dont remove the stock intake, ie the big chamber that sits between the throttlebody and the flexible tube (before the AFM).

removing it will rob you of precious torque/power, and trust me you have SFA to lose.

you will gain annoying noise, humming sound, and lose power... get a pod adapter and keep everything else stock.

replace all your vac hoses while you're at it.

I can make any piping you need if the car is here, but no location makes it hard to help.

I have seen 500kw through a panel filter, and the stock airbox is already a cold air induction. The only thing you will gain is intake noise as above.

Well there's a pod on mine with an airflow meter 3 inches and pod is sitting right next to the engine (I brought the car this way) I got a custom made one 3 inch to suit the airflow meter rather then stock 2.5 it made a power increase only due to the fact the old set up was entirely wrong but I'm trying to hunt down a stock airbox
