Hello,

I had once bought a Ross Balancer kit from the company, i am sure many of you have heard of them as they are a local australian company, the kit came with two magnetic sensors. Now these sensors have 3 wires coming out of them but I have no idea where to stick them, as a person using a piggy back ecu there is one main confusion. Even if i plug it in the ecu wiring look should i connect it with the stock ecu or the after market?

Is there someone noted in Australia that does this on a daily basis? I am keen to learn. Omega technical factories the new owners have told me to look for someone by the name of checkered performance australia but i only find crazy results in google and facebook. Perhaps all people will also benefit from this knowledge, especially thos who cannot afford a tuner to do this. I was surprized the maker doesnt have a jedi technique on how to install the item they have on sale and I need to get in touch with someone.

I really bought it as i knew stock cam sensor is just retard as poised to die anyday, plus id love to rev past 10K, as my engine is full tomei internals and solid lifters on with 270 degree cams.post-66871-14016840030476_thumb.jpg

There is a lot of discussion on these things (Ross crank triggers) on these forums already. You could do some searching around on here and learn a lot.

Piggyback ECU setups are not going to be a pleasant thing to make work with a crank trigger system. And if you have a crank trigger (with a proper aftermarket ECU) it's generally wise to still have the cam angle sensor, or at least a modified version of it for your sync. So throwing away the Nissan CAS is not as simple as you might hope.

Checkered is not "Checkered" it is "Chequered Performance". Look for STATUS as a user on here. That's him.

Oh no guys, that was the look coz it had been with the garage guy for 2 years, he still has the car. Needs proper cleaning and need to make really organised brake lines. Not to mention these guys are arabs and they kept on doing their thing saying "its gonna look awsome just wait and see". They had it for a long while, i will definitely make improvements once i get it back.

Send Yavuz at Unigroup Engineering an email and ask him if he can give you some insight into what is going on. Whilst i am sure any reputable workshop would be able to help you, Yavuz worked with Ross Balancers to design this crank trigger so he will be able to tell you exactly what you need.

Nah boys thanks alot i just spoke to him over facebook really helpful guy i never met anyone this helpful. He figured i had the wrong parts under 5 minutes.

Now next problem is will ross accept my returns and replacement or not? Never buy from a company during an acquisition. Worst mistake, or luck.

    • Holy smokes brother. If you get there before me, let me know if that was manageable with a hone. I still haven't done anything with mine and probably won't until I get the car MOT'd later this year so that I have another 2 years to do what ever needs to be done. I am at 86.5 now so at least I have the 0.5mm to go up from where I am, but that means new pistons at the very least. Honestly, might consider a stroker at that point.  Cheers
    • It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.
    • Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.
    • I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen. But I could be wrong. https://gromaudio.com/vline/ The video I first saw was the following, with very little and unclear details.     Even if your not interested in the system, the video on their site was pretty comforting in showing how simple the whole centre comes out
