ステージア
Hi All I'm considering puting lowered springs in the SII WGNC34, they are 40mm lower up front and 20mm at the rear. Am i going to need camber bolts for these heights? If so what size do I require please? Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443964-yet-another-suspension-question/ Share on other sites

The only way to guarantee, is to check the alignment once installed. ステージア
Thanks Dale If I do require front camber bolts, do you know what size I need as they come in several sizes??? Daleo
You shouldn't need anything at this height, but if you did; id be using an eccentric camber bush kit. ステージア
So I had the springs installed and I'm really happy with the look, but I've noticed the front ride is a little harsher than the OEM springs even though the spring rate of the new springs is lower than OEM at 2.5. The reason I went for softer springs because I was going purely for comfort (I'm getting old). The rears don't seem to have this issue as they are only 20mm less and the spring rate is the same as OEM. Now, is the rougher ride because the spring is 40mm lower and that just comes with the territory (less travel etc), or is it because I retained the OEM shocks? I can't tell you if it's hitting bump stops because I don't know what that feels like.. As I said I am going for comfort so if it is the shocks, which shocks should I use to help remedy this issue? (I do have some KYB New SR Specials, will they do the trick?) Any advise would be greatly appreciated. coparts41
40mm is ok as that is what I have , although depends on what camber you want and how often you rotate tyres as they will wear , you will probably end up with 1.3 degrees n.c on the front and maybe a little more on the rear . ステージア
Thanks for the reply Dennis, not what I was asking but anyway.. My question is: Is the rougher ride because the spring is 40mm lower and that just comes with the territory (less travel etc), or is it because I retained the OEM shocks? scotty nm35
Shocks need to be matched to your spring rate. You can't just drop in any shock. This is why I recommend the BC's as you can adjust the dampening to your requirements. ben3322
The lower the spring, the less distance the shock has to travel. If you want to go lower but keep the standard feel, then you need to change the shocks aswell Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443964-yet-another-suspension-question/#findComment-7368289 Share on other sites
