adam96
This may sound a little odd but i was just curious to see if there was any device available on the market that allows you to control the rev range in which the valves open on an RB, similar to the well known device called the 'V-Tec controller'. Has anyone heard of anything similar or something that can be applied to an RB with the same principal? scotty nm35
Valves open at all rev ranges. If you are talking about a VCT window switch, there are hundreds of options. Best controlled by the ecu imo. Ben C34
A window swith would do it. And also achieve nothing. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444095-vct-controller-like-v-tec-controller-for-rb-engines/#findComment-7304866 Share on other sites
MBS206
Well it would make the car slower, unless you change it at pretty much the same point the ECU does... If it is active 100% of the time then it is absolutely pointless. KiwiRS4T
Vct runs through out the full rev range on neos not 100% sure on 33 25'de Not quite According to Tomei the R33 DE operates 1050 - 5700, the DET 1050 - 5400 and the Neo DE 0-5700 and the DET 0 - 5400 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444095-vct-controller-like-v-tec-controller-for-rb-engines/#findComment-7324387 Share on other sites
Ben C34
Tomei are nearly correct. It's not active at idle, otherwise the idle is reasonably lumpy. It activates just off idle. On a neo.
