Kakimoto Full Mega N1 Vs Regu 06&r R32 Gtr

G'day guys, I'm currently looking for a new exhaust and am getting more and more confused with each thread I read. I think I've settled on going for a kakimoto over a HKS silent hi power but now the problem is I don't know which one. The kakimoto Full Mega N1 or Kakimoto regu 06&r. Can anyone give me some reasons as to why one is better than the other. I'm mainly looking for a really nice tone, something a little higher pitch as opposed to a wet fart

How much power do you have? Both are restrictive as hell. Sound great but no good if you're making any sort of decent grunt.

Pretty stock at the moment, I'm planning on doing a build in the next year or two but am only after about 350rwkw, nothing crazy

I remember when 250kw was hard to obtain. Now everyone thinks 350 is the norm.

You will probably need to rethink your exhaust if you want to push that sort of power.

It's trying to find a jap exhaust that doesn't have step downs in it. It's either loud or quiet (restrictive)

Don't buy a Jap exhaust. Find a good exhaust shop near you and get them to build you a nice one. Piss easy.

I went yesterday and got a quote from a very reputable exhaust shop and he had me until he showed me the lukey cannon they use. Now I have no problem paying $1200 for a custon exhaust but not when they're using that crap

I'd love the skill to be able to make my own exhausts but it doesn't cost too much to get a nice one made up for you. That way you can choose your own mufflers too.

I love how people state their power target and then 12 months later the car makes double that and they've gone 4x over their budget!

edit: you beat me to it, you could always shop around for mufflers and bring them to the shop if you don't like what they use. Personally I dislike cannons as well but they do perform

Yeah I might just get my own cannon. Do they play a major role in restrictiveness and loudness or providing they're both free flowing ie no silencers, they're more aesthetic than anything else? Thanks for the help guys

How about some Magnaflow mufflers? There's this AES joint that makes mufflers as well.
