Except I had an 80mm Fujitsubo Legalis R pass noise emissions while flowing 300+kw. There are good exhausts and there are cannons. :P

Yep; they are a great thing; I'd much rather have it on, and never get hassled.

Using a sound meter app, and in the garage, with a bit of reflected noise; mine runs 80db at idle, and 90 at 3000rpm.

When I built the split system for my C34 I was looking at using 2 Varex mufflers side by side, but the cost was going to be too much. So I was looking at what else is available and found Dynamax VT mufflers which for 2 was less than the price of 1 Varex.

These use the same sort of thing, a butterfly valve but they are spring loaded. At light loads they remain close and under full noise they become near enough to straight through. They are nice and short in height and don't look any different from a standard muffler from the outside, which for me is plus. Once the car is warm, it's quieter than factory, but with a slight rumble to it. Full noise and it just screams.

Here's the only pic I have that you can see the valve in mine.

Lots of clearance when tucked up high.

Thats cool was it easy to order, so the site

Slightly off topic here; do you guys get randomly pulled over in your M35 Stageas? Spoke to a friend who drives an import and he said two things which may have explained why I spefically got pulled over:

- driving along Princes Highway at night where it is very common for street racing/traffic light drags to occur

- though the M35 Stageas look understated, they are starting to build a bad reputation by cops who specifically target imports

Nope, the only time I have been singled out and pulled over I deserved it.

Distant police car in the opposite lane caught me on a near-deserted road... momentarily airborn off the down side of a bridge... doing near 150kph in a 100 zone... D'oh (yes we had to be somewhere urgently, but still...)

All the coppers think it is a volvo anyway, especially the AR-X from a distance...
