Hi guys,

I looked for a few skylines yesterday and saddened me to see some of them are kept in shitty condition

I got a few engine tuner friends in japan who said they would be more than happy to find me a mint r34 gtt manual

Who should I call to have that car brought into aus..

Importing procedure, shipping, complience etc...

Possibly payment for that car

Any advice is happily accepted..

id be willing to try it all myself but might need help along the way..

ive done crazy intercountry travels in the past and did it myself eg, animal across a country and moving personal posessions through freight forwarders so I may have some experience there.

Thanks guys..

Happy to help in anyway we can.

BTW we are still in japan and still the only Broker to supply Private people in Australia been in Bussiness since 1997 with our hands on the cars in Japan doing pre inspections.

Recently We are changing our modeling to go back to supplying peeople direct instead of being the middle man making all the others look so good.

If you need hep in any aspect im more than happy to help free of charge if you think you can do most things yourself with a little guidence.

Regards, Phil

I just got an R34 through them and the car is amazing

Thanks for the replies,

I am excited, ive saved for a long time..

To, manual kasko.. what did u import and what was paid in total in au $

How many yen was the car in japan also?

To, primo... thanks buddy, I will look you up when I am ready for advise

But usually. If going it alone.. whats the first few steps..

I read I must choose an import method.. there are several to pick from.. ie depends on car type.. I got confused when I read that..

Something about a private use car and must use a specific document to fillout and get a import permit..

Lastly, if I choose a service provider. Do they charge approx 1000$ because they help source a car, if the import process is all is required do you think it would be cheaper..

I dont mind paying for an expert to take care of all documents.. but gotta be reasonable.

Thanks again guys.. I will call my buddy in japan tomorrow and get an idea of what im looking for etc

$1000 would probably include sourcing the car costs but that's hardly the most crucial part of the process. I would say most of the work comes when the car lands here in Aus with clearing customs etc.

I wouldn't suggest trying to organise it all yourself. Especially since you are so unsure of the process. It's a recipe for disaster.

Email the guys at iron chef and I'm sure they would be happy to provide you details and costs.

Process is much simpler than you realize. ill handle all the documents free of course. it takes 5 minutes of my time to organize shipping docs, import approvals , transport to the compliance shop.

we are and still do broker many cars from start to finish Australia wide and many of them have been free if we export the car from japan.
