Duncan...

Abbo Cove ???

Call me - I'll PM you my mobile number.

That way you can be the first to get a copy...

Video Party at Duncans this weekend perhaps ??

skylinegeoff....

I don't think it will be publically available to purchase. I think your best bet will be to convince a competitor to lend you their copy.

I watched it again last night (Duration is actually increased to about 53:30mins as they added even more footage). - it's a great compilation - Kel gets a good wrap from Daniel Gibson at wakefield with the top down "looking cool" when it was about -4 degrees.

Sooo... What do you guys think about the DVD ???

I'll email you the cover image you can print out if you like - as they have not come back from the printer yet.

PM me your email address and i'll email it to you.... - that way you can print it out on a colour Printer, (100% on A4) and trim the page.

Kel,

Sorry I didn't recognise you at first when you came over to collect the DVD's - I was in another world as we had to get Jade's Torana up and running as it was gettig a magazine photo shoot that afternoon.

Its excellent :) and even better that you guys could source DVD :D.

I was hoping to see move coverage of our cars in the extra footage, there was a little more for Kel....but I think I'm being greedy now lol.

email for the covers is [email protected], thanks.

I didn't realise the torana was Jade's! must be a hell of a handful to drive....which mag was the photoshoot for?

Extreme Magazine..

Yeah,

It's Jade's little baby.

I've only driven it once as I can't do up the harnesses and from my little drive, It's pretty quick, lethal in the wet with absolutely no traction to speak of.

Funny thing is, the car has basically sat for the last 2 - 3 years and not been driven, then the call comes for some current photos and it's panic stations... Still a fair bit of work to be done on it and the photoshoot was kinda rushed as it was over heating so we couldn't get all the shots we wanted..

He guys - got the Vic Dutton competitor listing in the mail last night.

84 cars in total - 23 of them are porka's.

The good news is there are 3 gtrs to take up the challenge.

One of them is driven by Steven Gleeny, the second is driven by Jeff Beable and the final one is driven by some guy no one has ever heard of before! LOL.

So my new objective is to

a) beat those 2 in at least one event (could be dreaming!)

B) sign them up as members for the new SAU Vic!

2 weeks to go - can't wait. Finally get my gearbox back today after the car has been out of action for the last 9 weeks.

    • Only reason to keep a MAF on your RB25 is to be able to easily calculate true VE if you know what the factory voltage curve represents in grams per second of flow. Also allows you to do things like pull the original OEM ignition + AFR target tables and use those as a starting point for your base map. Once you're well and truly done tuning though there's no need to retain the MAF.
    • Do you think they'll merge there performance divisions and we'll end up HoMo?
    • Very true, if buying new, I would not get an PP either. Minimum is an Elite 2500, which is also considered outdated. Get something that supports DBW, delete that cable throttle. Best thing I've ever done to the Skyline, next best is refreshing the A/C with a new condenser. It's cold, but not as cold as modern car, but colder than most 90s JDM shit boxes imported into Australia.
    • Haltech have a nice comparison table between the Elite and Nexus models -  https://www.haltech.com/ecu-buyers-guide/ In general, the Nexus is better. Haltech have some nice product videos on their YouTube page, I'd have a look at those and if you're still not confident what way to go, I'd give them a call. They have the best customer support of any company I've dealt with, I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
    • Not to mention, that the correct diagnostic approach to "electrical thing does not work" is to start with what I outlined above. You only do swaptronics for things that can't be tested really easily, like ignition coils, AFMs, etc etc. And even then you hold your breath in case the fault that possibly killed the original unit kills the swapped in unit too.
