Rb20Det Missing Idle

got a series 2 rb20det, I changed my spark plugs from the bcpr5s, to the 6s gaped to .8

Then my car started misfiring on idle only, pulls fine through gears, so I swapped to another set of bcpr5s.

Its still misfiring on idle.

things ive changed -

loom

ignitor

coils

im at a loss to see where to look next?

Probably dodgy old coil plugs or loom is upset because you disturbed it.

Edit.

Missed the loom replaced bit.

Are you sure what you replaced it with was good?

Or could the new loom be old and crusty?

car is all stock engine wise bar pod filter

I tried a new loom, still the same,

was a decent loom from a performance shop

Could you have split a vac line somewhere?

wouldn't that affect the driving though? is there a voltage/resistance test for loom?

try your injector connectors.i had similar problem on idle.no 5 injector plug was dodgy,why it played up at only idle I don't know sorted, mine out anyway.worth a try.cheers
