New Tail Shaft Seems Short R32 With Rb25 And R34 Gearbox

Does this tail shaft seem short? I know there is supposed to be some gap.

This is an r32 with rb25 and just installed r34 gearbox.

Also I installed an exedy twin plate clutch and the peddle isn't that hard I was expecting harder.. I havnt stared the car but I can select gears easy with the clutch in.

R34 coupe and sedan have different length tail shafts. Are you using your original R32 tail shaft or a replacement?

It's an r32 4door mate, with rb25 and r34 gearbox. It's a stock r32 tail shaft with r33 yoke attached

I'm running the exact same as you, r34 RB25DET box in R32. My tailshaft protrudes about the same length as yours and I posted pictures here before.

Everyone said its fine, there is still a lot of engagement in the yoke.

Pretty sure I can see the previous seal's wear mark on that yoke, looks about 10 -15mm off.

This is a drift car so it gets a hard time just want to be sure. It measures about 25mm short from gearbox to the face of the yoke

On my phone so no I can't. It was in this section only 3-4 months ago so try and have a look.

My car was making 315kw and I was clutch kicking 4th gear drifting and never had a problem.

It might be a bit more of a gap than you'd like but it will be fine.

15-25mm is the general norm depending on where you got the work done. You can specify less, but it's too late now. Doesn't matter it's not going to be a problem
