F6BF
Hey guys Got a rb25 with a copy greddy manifold Just seeing where people run there water lines to that use to go to the back of the stock manifold ? Can I make up a pipe to go in top rad hose and then weld a fitting on that for the water ? Pics would be great to cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444735-rb25-turbo-lines-with-greddy-copy-manifold/ Share on other sites
Ben C34
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/181826-how-to-greddy-style-plenum-install/ Pics don't work but should help. What's your setup? I ask because I haven't seen a mild setup benefit from this plenum. In that thread one guy made 4 kw more at the expense of losing midrange. Personally I would look at the heap of cars making 300 plus rwkw with stock inlet and save the hassle of fitting the plenum. KiwiRS4T
This is the only pic I have - you can see the waterline has been taken from a tap in the hose outlet which also serves to help locate the outlet: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444735-rb25-turbo-lines-with-greddy-copy-manifold/#findComment-7318495 Share on other sites
F6BF
Sweet that's what I plan on doing , it been fine on your car no coolant temp problems ? I found a post on here anyway saying its fine to do cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444735-rb25-turbo-lines-with-greddy-copy-manifold/#findComment-7318518 Share on other sites
89CAL
Is that coolant return? Is it supposed to go in before thermostat or after? I cant remember This is mine, but its a bit extravagant for your every day setup. The HKS kit I had before had a braided line that ran around the back with all the fittings to join to the rubber hose under the manifold: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444735-rb25-turbo-lines-with-greddy-copy-manifold/#findComment-7318598 Share on other sites
1kr33steven
It all depends what you are keeping and getting rif of as to how you do it ive kept the standard air bleed on my set up as ive tried to go the stock look, I ran a T piece at the rear and brought my turbo water feed around and over the top of the engine as it gave me better angles ect with the braided lines ive used but if your getting rid of the bleed from the stock manifold you only need to come out of the block and run it over to the turbo this makes life easier but be carefull to get all the air from the block. Not sure how to post pics but if you need help pm me ya number and ill text pics or email directif you want more detail ect, Personaly having installed one of these manifolds (i got it new for $149) i dont think there worth the effort they are by no means bolt on if you want a nice neat job ive wasted hours redoing wiring and stuff that you just dont think of untill you start unbolting crap.
