Gday everyone,

I have installed a fake Greddy front facing plenum on my RB25 in my R32, so now looking at getting the piping from the throttle body to the intercooler sorted.

What have you all done when faced with this? Ive had some quotes ranging from 500 to 1500, have thought about doing it myself, plus im keeping an eye out on the classified sections.

On top of this, what are thoughts on 2.5 or 3 inch piping on the cold side? From a bit of reading 3 inch could be a bit laggy but others have said it will be fine.

Trying to keep on a budget and be a tight ass!!

Cheers

The chance of picking up custom piping that fits properly is slim, and most go through the battery tray. If you want a neat legal job done you are best to find a local fabricator that can run a pipe down beside the radiator.

Are you doing both sides? Those quotes seem on the high side imo, $600-$700 should cover both hot and cold pipes in stainless or alloy, including joiners and clamps.

Sorry mate, should of added its for a track car and i have already moved the battery to the boot.

Those quotes were just for the cold side!!!

If anyone knows of someone that can do it for a good price please let me know

I have 3" in and out on the cooler. Had 2.5" piping all round with stock throttle body (expanded to 3" obviously for each in/out on the intercooler). Still have 2.5" piping on the hot side, 3" on inlet side cooler to throttle body. Talk to the fabricators and the tuners, they will be the best ones to give advice and give technical answers as to why but the setup I have works well.

Thanks guys,

Have spoke to DVS JEZ and he'll be getting my business. Going 3 inch.

Going to purchase another cooler first, as it seems its too much work and not worth it to adapt the return flow cooler.

Cheers!
