FP does an alternate compressor housing for the 3076HTA , I think its a Mitsubishi based one they use when the T04S one is too big .

I was under the impression that turbos with the S or "GT35" compressor housing fitted if you use enough spacing on the standard manifold . Isn't someone running around with a GT3582R on a std manifold RB25 ? Happy to be corrected but that's what I thought .

Possibly... :ermm:

Angry rb: is that a gt3076 or does it have the gt35 compressor housing pn it?

If a low mount hta3076 can't be done then I will go with the high mount single scroll t3 1.01

Why doesn't forced performance offer a 1.01 ar turbine housing? Only upto .83

I think 34GeeTeeTee was saying FP don't do TS - though I am assuming you will be just getting the Garrett T3 housing, either supplied through FP or otherwise.

As a caveat - I don't know of anyone, or many who have tested the Garrett T3 TS housings so it's hard to know what flow etc to expect from them, I haven't actually seen turbine flow maps for them so I am cautious about saying what exactly to expect with them. Actually... I might have a dig and see if they have released anything.

If they do line up well, then a TS HTA3076 on an RB25 would make a complete monster of a thing - I suspect.

<edit: They don't appear to have released maps for them, bummer>

Still can't seem to get a turbine housing bigger than .83 on the fp3076 so would have to be purchased separately?

The idea of mounting onto the factory manifold is very appealing, any more info on this?

I wouldn't go bigger than .82 in single scroll - just to be clear, Garrett do different numbers for their single scroll and twin scroll T3 sizes. The single are .63, .82 and 1.06 and the twin are .61, .83 and 1.01. The .82 would be the go with single, just NORMALLY it seems that to get equivalent performance from a twin scroll housing you go up a size - but that's a sweeping assumption and will really depend on the design as well

AFAIK if you can fit a GT3582R on the standard manifold you can fit a GT3076 HTA because dimensionally they are the same .

FP have an alternative compressor housing which you can see if you go to their site . I think its based on a TC06 housing and is port shrouded . If serious email them and ask if it makes any notable difference with this housing .

Go back to the site and look in the Lancer Evolution/Diamond star or Subaru sections and open the FP Turbos section in any of these .

You'll see pics of these turbos with FPs "84mm FAP" or flow advancement port covers - comp housings on them .

They still claim 59 pounds a minute air flow but I'd say they fit more easily in the engine bays of Evos Rexs Diamond stars and DSMs .

If it works for them I can't see any reason why it wouldn't on a Nissan RB engine . I can't see why you can't order these turbos with any GT30 turbine housing you like or without if you have your own already .

well after considering all the options i think i will go with:

HTA 3076 .82 A/R single scroll turbine housing and the '3.25" in 2" out' compressor housing.

Top mount single scroll 6 boost manifold..

Setup should be similar to yours geeteetee so hopefully make 330rwKW on pump

Ooh yeah!!!

Sounds like quite a potent setup to me- remember 34GeeTeeTee has some good bits on his, not JUST the turbo.... good manifold(s), upgraded cams, good tune probably needed to make sure the full potential is realised. That power isn't messing around on pump gas! It should result in an awesome setup though, regardless of the final figure.

Yep I've got plazmaman too, and 6 boost and tomei type b's on their way.. Was thinking of going to jems for the tune, although haven't fully made up my mind, ..

Adam has done this combo numerous times with positive results ;)

There would be a power difference but I personally wouldn't go smaller than a HTA3582 on an RB30, remembering that the HTAs spool noticeably better than the GT, the difference between a GT3076R and a HTA3582 on a 3 litre should also not be a huge deal
