Enough Space For Kids In Back On V35 Coupe?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone out there drive a V35 as their daily and manage to squeeze the kids/grocery shopping in the back? I have a four year old son and his child seat will need to be secured

I see the boot is very large!

Im tempted to try and find an import dealership in Brisbane to take a look at one in the flesh, any recomendations for a dealership?

Hey man kids are fine at the back and is more than enough space for groceries...you can also fold the rear seats dpwn for larger items as well minus the kid/s though.... I have a sub in the boot and I can still manage groceries haha get 1! Awesome cars

Yep, I have 2 seats in the back of my V35 for a 6 year old and 3 year old. No problems. The boots are big enough for groceries, but not really for anything else tbh. I would NOT call them a big boot, but they are adequate. At least groceries from a Coles catalogue can fit in there. You can't quite fit 2 decent size wheels in there, which sucks.

Update, Enough space for my girl.. No problem there… I'm exactly 6 foot the rear window brushes my head, little uncomfortable! But hey I'm the driver, and it's about numero uno ……Right :woot:

13 & 17 year olds in the back, Sydney and back many times, QLD etc no problems or whinging, well apart from their fighting at times , haha .

lots of boot for trips.

I added APS twin turbo system to the 350GT and with its torque it is a quick family car :)

I gave my 350GT to my Son today and miss it already. If you ever want it to really get going add a twin turbo system, with that motor and torque :woot:

But I still have my R34 :wub: :wub: :wub:

Adding TT will bring it a bees tit more powerful or less than a 370 right? 200KW to 249KW I love my new 370GT Type SP, I love the new improved look of the headlights too

Like to see some cold hard evidence it will smash it. 370GT is way faster than a 350GT My TRD AURION smashed my mates 350GT literally killed it didn’t stand a chance… Every morning for 5 years was another slaughter lol , and my 370 is faster than the TRD. I was almost going to buy a 350 but “IMO” the headlights are unsightly. Wack a TT on the 370 she’ll probably do 11’s

Understood, fair enough, agreed. id rather supercharger personally, anyway way off topic... Back too, Plenty of room in the back if your 5.10 or below.. as per post i'm exactly 181cm 6ft i couldn't sit there for to long i will get a sore neck as the back wind screen is quite low.

I know they say they were 200 ish KWs mine was 182KW on the dyno before the tune, did a soft tune at 255 kw, does not seem much but great fun. Had a bloke with a 350Z and I smashed it, he went and put the APS TT system on,haha Off topic :(

It is not a back seat for 6Ft + , they sit in the front on long trips , even if they have to drive :)

Have had my 3 & 4yo girls in the back seat of mine on 3-4 hour road trips no problems at all. It actually seems like it has more leg room for them than my partners 4 door bmw sedan boot space is fine for carting our gear around also. Very smooth and comfy on longer trips I liked the fuel range on the open highway 700-800k + per tank was good.

Only annoying thing was putting the seats forward when it's time for rear passengers to get out..

      Question about R34 GTT A/T Solenoids

      So.... when I'm finally getting around to having my power steering leak sorted, now it looks like I've got the same issue most A/T Skylines are having. My A/T light will randomly come on and I'm stuck in 3rd gear until I turn the car off and on again. Only 3 weeks ago I did a complete transmission service: Oil flush + new gasket + new filter. This came out of nowhere!! It wasn't like the car was driven hard. I drove about 3 mins down the road to get fuel and boom!!!  Anyway, I have a few questions and hope you fine people can help me out here. All questions are in red. 1. The solenoids: I was looking at the parts catalogue in Amayama and I could only find the Solenoids as an assembly. https://www.amayama.com/en/part/nissan/319404ax05 I read in another thread that Solenoid A = 31940-4AX02 & Solenoid B = 31940-4AX05 but the Amayama product has only the code of B. Is this the right part? Can anyone who has done the Solenoid changes or seen them confirm if this is the complete set of A & B?   2. Gasket and Filter: I'm not going to try change the solenoids myself because it seems difficult to do in a home garage with just 2 jack stands. I plan to take it to a shop and get it changed. I was also going to buy the transmission sump gasket at the same time so I don't reuse the same gasket. Should I just use the existing gasket as it has only been on the car since OCT 19th? (~3 weeks) Should I be buying a brand-new gasket and a filter? Does this job involve taking the filter out?   Thanks in advance to everyone. It's hard to find a video of someone doing a solenoid change on a R34 so any help you can give answering my remaining questions would make me less stressed.

      Yea - From what I have seen from the video, the car idles like any R34 lol 50PSI of fuel pressure is hardly super abnormal, the regulator is working because the pressure remains static when the throttle gets revved, i.e pressure remains the same when manifold vaccuum changes. Bigger pumps on stock rails always bumped the pressure in the rail without using an aftermarket regulator to change that. Do you know what your IAC is actually doing? Has there been any data showing the stepper motor % etc? There's no way your idle is actually moving around the way the cluster(s) are indicating. You would hear the difference with the engine RPM flying to 3k and 1k in mere seconds. I'd be checking the wiring to the tacho. What the tacho is telling you and what the engine/ecu is telling you are different things. I assume your ECU doesn't display the spike. So whatever is telling the tacho to be at X rpm is doing something weird. When the going gets insane, you're on the wrong path. You've ruled out plenty of things that are working correctly/aren't the issue. Your idle isn't doing what the tacho is indicating. You have two seperate issues, I don't think they are linked, and the idle seems reasonably okay unless it's stalling which.. well, it hasn't. Troubleshoot the stall if it occurs by figuring out what your IAC is doing vs what it is being told to do.
