slow spool up?

I have a R33 S2 and it spools between 3500 and 4500 running standard psi...goes like a dream for me...advan is puttin it up to 10psi for me in couple of weeks and throw it on the dyno and see wats goin on...but i dont see a prob with mine

when mine was stockish, stock s2 turbo, split pipe dump, 3 inch exhaust, fmic, chromemolly flywheel and ebc i could get 1 bar at around 2000rpm easily.

Mine spools really early, havent really watched it to be honest, but boost hits in the low 2000rpm bracket

It did this before i installed the AVCR, but now it produces more boost alot earlier and the boost response is crisper.. guess thats the advantage of replacing a 10+ year old standard solenoid

yep, also had adjustable exhaust cam gear and power fc, 550cc injectors, 044 bosch pump also at the time. Series 2 turbo has plastic comp wheel remember so real quick spool up time with those extra mods included. Now 1 bar at around 3900rpm from GT35 turbo.

ahh ok, in theory 14psi at 2000rpm sounds ridiculous thats only 1000rpm higher than idle!

.. exactly.. i think inasnt forgot to tell you he had his hand on it the whole time.. and probably wasnt really watching the revs correctly.

seriously it came on ***ing early in the rev range, even ask gerald he couldnt believe it either. Maybe it was just over 2000rpm then when i could hit 1 bar.

Whats that under load or plain old driving?

I can get the stocker RB20t turbo spooled to 1bar by 2600rpm if thats the case.

Generally around 3500rpm.
