How long does an Rb25det take usually to get to operating temperature?

I noticed that mine takes ages to even start registering on my temp gauge.

I haven't checked the thermostat yet, I'll get to it shortly.

Also, while on the subject, what is the ideal temperature for an rb25det?

Thanks.

It depends on a lot of factors, including the start temp, but the thermostat does the bulk of the work. I would have pulled it out and checked it in boiling water, it would have taken less time than typing the post. :P

Stock temp? Anything around 80 - 90 degrees C would be fine.

Mine only takes about 5 mins if I drive it. Is fairly quick to warm up

Thats just gently driving it, I dont give it anything till its warmed up

Not sure what makes mine different, Even starting in cooler weather of 10 degrees or so doesnt really take it much longer to warm up

Haha, I was sleeping in on my day off so there's no way I was going out into the cold lol.

My car takes a good 20 minutes idling or 15 minutes driving to even start reading on the temp gauge!

Going to pull my thermostat out tomorrow to see if it's leaking...
