Have you thought about getting a turbo auto, you can save alot of money this way, and in an NA Silvs you will be begging for more power. At least that way you could always do a manual conversion down the track, whereas if you had a NA its not worth a turbo conversion in most cases. Buying a 1.8 will also save you money, and they are cheaper to modify due to the ECU being tuneable.

That is some really good advice. Far better idea. A lot of people are scared (for whatever reason, insurance etc) of buying a manual turbo as their first car and instead go the manual, non-turbo route. Like Zac said, it will be far easier to do a manual conversion to your auto, turbo silvia down the track, than putting a turbo motor in your manual non-turbo...
