Fake Defi Gauge Wiring

Gday all,

Ive just installed fake Defi gauges into my R32 GTS-T. Wondering if i have done it correctly as i cannot start my car just yet (oil system isnt finished). I have wired it up to the cigarette lighter loom. Light wire (yellow gauge wire) to the light source (red cirgette lighter loom wire), red and white gauge wire to the accessory (orange wire cigarette loom). Black earth to black earth.

The gauges do their start up procedure then seem to power off, im just wondering if that's because i haven't started the car so the power supply stops to the cigarette loom. Anyone else wired theirs up that way and had dramas?

my real defi gauges will do the opening ceremony when i turn the key to accessories, but when i turn the car on it will do it again.
