Blue Stamp Plate In Engine Bay

Hi everybody,

I'm looking to buy a Stagea, a 260RS to be precise.

My issues right now, is that when I find a 'genuine' one, I look at the blue stamp plate at the rear of the engine bay and it says its meant to have an RB25DET in it. This has been the case in the 2 I've looked at so far.

Can anyone tell me for sure that the genuine 260rs has this stamped on there or is it in fact ment to say rb26dett because thats what they came with?

That's perfectly normal.

The 260RS had the RB25det on the build plate as they rolled off the line and were converted by Autech.

How to confirm your looking at the real deal is to run the VIN in FAST (see thread in "general automotive" if in doubt) and the details will come up.
