For mild mods the R32 is cheaper.

As soon as you want some serious power you have to spend much more $$ on another engine and gearbox.

Just those mods alone send the price of the 32 over the 33.

But yer.. I like the 32's nice and smallish, good for Uni. ;)

Remember, faster isn't always better. I would buy for the GTS4 for two reasons:

1) It wasn't a povo-pack GTS4 like the R33/34 versions. It got all the good fruit from the GT-R.

2) R33s are common ;)

Only weak link is the engine IMHO (/me suits up waiting for flames from RB20 lovers): the extra weight from the 4WD system will take the edge of performance.

But larger displacement RBs are not exactly expensive, so there is a lot of room for increasing performance.

LW.

yea i was thinking that the awd will weigh it down more but with good traction at take off at the lights, the beast should do well up to 120kmph before a r33 will catch up. what do u guys think?? i just something that goes up quick to about 140ish....... ill be getting the r32 in about a months time and with extra cash left over, i was planning to get new cams, power fc and a turbo up grade.....im stilling finking of which turbo to get. :flamed:

cant wait!!! :headspin:

I wouldn't bother with a cam upgrade, but I would do the following.

PowerFC

Fuel pump

GT2530 turbo or the new Garret GT3071R http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=43864

Adjustable Cam gears and Maybe a set of GTR cams

It would fly, definately quick for od Traffic light grand prix. ;)

Traffic light grand prix seem to be quite common here in Adelaide,

I have no problem with it providing people do it sensibly, problem is you can trust your self to be sensible but you can't trust the other person too.

There is no need to do 140km/h, 0-80 or some times 0-100 depending where it is.

Don't go doing it down Anzac Highway that is just plain stupid, too many cars.

I've had a little squirt with some nice cars, one being a new ferrari (who drove like a boy racer) a Diablo VT (Red one which was very very loud and very quick) one very very quick R33 GTST Skyline (which was quicker than the Diablo and Ferrari)

Traffic light grandprix can be dangerous.

Not because you can hit some one but because you don't know what the other person will do.

There was a mid 30year old block that had been tailgating me to the point where I was unable to see his wiper blades. We turned on to a 3 laned 80km/h road, with no traffic. We pulled up at the next set of lights, he continued to rev his car acting like a dick.

I brought the rev's up a little and zipped off putting an easy few car lengths on him by the time I was almost out of second. I short shifted in to third then fourth then fifth sitting on 80-90km/h.

I then looked back and could hear him winding his old tank out through the gears when he passed me what felt like easy over 120km/h.

He continued to accelerate flat stick.

I lost sight of him as I went around a big sweeping corner, after getting back on a straight the first thing I saw was him roughly 1km ahead and a 4wd with a trailer pulling out in front of him as to head in the opposite direction.

He swerved right then left again, his rear wheel clipped the medium strip sending him in to a 100m slide (I measured it)

He cam to rest on the medium strip, he only just nudged a tree but it was enough for a branch to break and drop on his bonnet.

I thought to my self, what a friggin dick head.

Imagine if he had killed him self or some one else.

I would feel quilty as hell and most probably would share the responsibility for the accident.

    • Are these the Dmax ones you are in reference too? https://justjap.com/collections/driveshafts-bearings/products/d-max-reinforced-replacement-rear-driveshaft-set-fits-nissan-s13-s14-s15-r32-r33-r34-c35#description Not a bad idea to get the uni flange ones. I have sent just jap an email too. Will see what they say lmao. Only thing is the Dmax ones are on a big back order. Low key anything will be better then my OEM ones I got as they are sounding like popcorn when I go under load lmao 😂☠️🪦.
    • They should do. I have S14 (or something S chassis, anyway) driveshafts in my R32 (because my diff flanges have 3x2). They're the right length. When you go looking for R32/3/4 driveshafts (for turbos), they're all the same thing, so are the same length. So there really shouldn't be any reason why those cheapies from JJ won't also fit an R34. R32/3 NA should also be the same thing. The (3x the price) D-Max ones are uni-fit. They have 5x1 and 3x2 bolt holes and say they cover all the cars. So that would also suggest that they are all the same except for the flanges. And in that case, the flange goes both ways. I'd be buying the D-Max ones if I ever have to replace a shaft. Because that will open up diff options without needing to juggle shafts also. Juggling shafts is gay.
    • Yeah with the adaptors they do look like the photo above - just the fitment within the plenum itself and then further with the rail to the intake is questionable - we shall see tomorrow hopefully once I get some replies from Aeroflow, maybe those bosses are the missing piece....
    • Should be fine, if you have it sitting too far in, you end up just spraying the walls and have shit idle. You "can" run them like that, however I don't think it's a great idea (also depends on your plenum, might be good to just get the injector bosses first, mock it up and see if you need to get the bottom extension) Ideally your injectors, with the extension should look like this  (Not my photos, just Google)
    • Thanks for the replies guys, it's really appreciated.  It seems the kit was supposed to come with those injector bosses but hasn't. Unsure if they'll help as even with the adaptors to make them a 3/4 height injector they still sit too far out so mount the fuel rail?
