Hey all,

Going to be installing a set of BC BR's on my r34 gtt and just wanted to find out the torque specs for the bolts that hold the coilover in?

Did a bit of search on the forums and found a post briefly stating it's 70nm for the bottom bolts and 40nm for the top strut bolts. Is this correct?

Cheers

Bottom bolts are best described as f**king tight. Pretty much as hard as you can do it up with a double ended ringy. 70Nm is about right for that. The top bolts are only 8mm or something, so 40Nm would be not far wrong there too.

FWIW, I never use a torque wrench for main suspension bolts. f**king tight is the correct torque.

lol thanks for the replies.

So i guess it's one of those jobs where nuts need to be tight as fuark? Excited to finally get some coils on. my springs have sagged too much and im running too low to put my front lip on lol

    • I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested in what MCM were going to do with the NC I really enjoy their banter and occasional collaborations (like Alan from TSF, Ben from BCW, or any of the Haltech guys throwing around their experience), and I have probably watched everything they have put out
    • Not yet, we basically drove it to a private road, got the logs and drove it straight back. I think I need a new passenger seat belt after the mrs squeezed the life out of it.
    • Sounds insane! 🤤🤤🤤  Do you have any vids of it driving?  A flyby would be nice!
    • The prices of NCs are going to go up thanks to you... and partially the MCM guys.
