by saying the 'flip up' bit, I assume you are referring to the Nissan charactered piece that covers the boot key hole?

If so, this is the R33 series 1 cover. Probably pretty easy to find at a wreckers but from memory its hard as fk to change just the cover, so you would need to change the key barrel too to retain the cover.

Also keep in mind that these are a resin or plastic piece so they are often showing signs of age...

But yes, in perfect condition I did prefer them to the brushed metal look of the series 2 ones.

Oh, I get it now. My bad.

I think this is what he would be after then. Nissan Part No. 84660-22U25

I swapped locks when I swapped boot lids, I didn't think it was a hard job but I wasn't changing the barrels.

yeah swapping the locks/the whole unit isn't a hard job.

But either just swapping the barrel or the flip-cover is...

Yes correct, i was not talking about the rear garnish. i had just never seen this form of badge, only ever the "brushed metal" looking ones on most skylines. (eg my Bcnr33)

so from what you guys are saying its not really worth doing is it?...considering my excisting badge is in fair condition for its age.

well it depends.

If you can pick one up from a wrecker cheaply enough then seems ok.

Also if you either know how to exchange the key barrel or perhaps even take it to a locksmith who in all reality can probably do it for 20 bucks...

In this case, yeah it would probably be worth it. Be pretty cool to have a unique rear key cover on your GTR :P

Yeh well i guess you're jman, I think i might do a little research into them once i have located a suitable badge i will contemplate if it worth it or not.

btw; Does anyone know of any upcoming skyline cruises/meets around NSW, i only recently purchased my second Skyline (1st GTR)

and im super keen to meet some fellow Enthusiasts!
