Billionaire_Project
External fuel pump is definatley priming, I also believe the internal lift pump is operating (havent 100% confirmed, however external pump does not sound like it is cavitating) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/447292-r33-rb25-problems-help/#findComment-7374627 Share on other sites
89CAL
Check for some sort of pulse/pressure in the fuel line when the car is priming (at the rail) also check the return line in case the FPR is wrecked I agree with others, it sounds like a fuel problem if you have ruled out spark etc Does the exhaust smell like fuel when cranking? Billionaire_Project
I'll check the return line today, I'm finding so many things that are wrong with this car with all the wiring however it was running fine so they shouldn't be the culprit for this fault. The stupid car just has to last till christmas when the rebuild begins! Billionaire_Project
Haha, hope so. So fuel pump is priming and returning. Also noticed my manifold pressure gauge was increasing when cranking? So building pressure? Billionaire_Project
Look on the bright side - if your username is literal it will be a killer when it's finished I would have paid someone to fix it by now!! Billionaire_Project
So it's fixed now, what was the cause? I don't know 100%. I believe it is a loom issue - dodgy wiring. Full mil spec loom will be built now. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/447292-r33-rb25-problems-help/#findComment-7380960 Share on other sites
