whats the go with the rx injectors.Ive heard that they have a different spray pattern and at xtreeme power levels for them in the rb they can sometimes fail.Sounds like bullshit to me.

Atomisation is for economy and lower emissions. If fuel is too atomised then it can actually part stall because the volume to surface area ratio is lower. Fuel vapourises upon entry into the combustion chamber under extreme power.

I think you're right about it being BS. That is open to a wide range of interpretation but assuming the engine was not running lean then I still expect that if this ever happened and they were ever able to determine the specific cause then they were probably being run easily past 80% duty. I should also add that the side feed injectors are later model than the top feed.

Simply, Blitz use the exact same 550cc side feed injector that comes in the later RX-7s, only difference is it's brand new. Greddy and others sell brand new the 12aT and S4 injectors brand new. All injectors should be cleaned and flow tested before being used. Flow testing even if they are new, that's exactly what Blitz and Greddy do. The injectors are made by Denso. Mazda buy their injectors from Denso just like Blitz and Greddy. Only difference is Mazda actually charge more for theirs.

Im going to try and source some injectors they definently wont be run past 80% more like 70%. with your fuel rail is it a stright bolt in application for 13b turbo injectors?what will i have to do for me to get a perfect fit?

The side feeds can be run higher duty, they are a later design.

Do you have an RB20, RB25 or RB26?

The kit is only necessary on the RB25 as they are the only side feed.

RB20 and RB26 are top feed, I can get direct fit. Only difference is impedance, RB20 is high and RB26 are low. I usually can either low or high but don't have any right now.

Send me a PM with your email. Let me know what you need, I will let you know when I have some.

rb25det.and i am wondering if the oe fpr will fit this new style rail?

Direct fit, no need to change any rails or anything. You only need to change rails when you use top feed injectors on RB25. The fitment kit is so you can keep your factory RB25 rail and use side feed injectors.

still having troubles getting some.Ill get back to you when i have an answer so dont go anywhere.:D

I won't :D

Even if you want to come up with some and I will see if I can come up with some, if not all, of the others. Plus we could do part swap for primaries and secondaries too (primaries 550cc, secondaries 850cc). I can also modify them and test them as a set too, basically a hobby at this stage but we'll see if I can turn into something else.

Yeah thats all ok but im not after any secondaries only cause i dont need them the primaries are the ones i want.Ive tried a local place today and they have none so i will try a proper mazda wreckers tomoz day.

How much are they usually for a second hand set of 555cc 13b t jobbies in new zealand?

hi i got this off meggala @ http://www.meggala.com/injectors.htm

RB25

high impedance side feed.

these are very expensive supplyiers are nismo, apexi, denso, sard, HKS,Trust

sizes avaliable 550,660,740,850 cc

use the cc rating to give you a guide as to how much hp they can handel there is a formula which I will include later .

s/hand after market options.

s15 sr 20 engine is reputed to have 480 cc injectors (hard to find)

20b rotary engines are believed to use 850cc injectors.

people fit a new fuel rail to enable the use of top feed injectors but you would still need high impedance if you are using a modified stock ecu or a resistor pack to change impedance.

RB20

high impedance top feed.

the main choice is from the series 5 rx 7. these are 550cc injectors (they are denso and the part number is 195500-2020).

nismo make 2 as well 550 and 600 cc.

But I believe that you can use low impedacnce injectors with a resistor pack from a gtr this has not been confirmed.

this means that i will need a hose tail feed is this what your kit caters for?

    • I remember the days when E85 was priced in according to the $ per km outcome. Sure E85 was about 35% cheaper, but you also lost about 35% range... now it's fked..
    • They do. The pale yellow translucent ones from Japan were .... I dunno. Useless? Whiteline and SuperPro are probably fairly similar. There's bound to be a range of different hardnesses amongst the dozens of options on the market. The simple fact is that the pineapples don't get up inside the bush at all. They just sort of exist in the space between the washer/bracket and the subframe's bush outer tube, and...exert a bit of force between them? Or something like that. I'm sure that with enough provocation, they will simply allow one to more wrt the other.
    • I'm not sure they came in different hardnesses? Going from memory only - I had set them up in the balanced setup. I also have poly bushes, so I have both poly bushes and pineapples. This is what my memory tells me at least. I'll have to take a look under there to be sure. The tramp was so bad that I managed to eject/kill a diff bushing, so those I know are stock. The tramp is bad enough that you are 200% sure you are doing severe damage to the car. It's not just chirping or vibration, it feels like you're hitting a speed hump/kerb 10 times a second. The issue has persisted between subframes! (I went from Hicas to non hicas subframe and replaced every bush a few years ago now) so I'm entirely lost. Every arm is factory.
    • Can recommend the Frenchys kit, been using it 2 years now with no issue, very happy with it.  Only thing for me was upgrading the thermo fan but I am super fussy on cooling.   Also interested in electric AC, partly for boot mount to have a clean bay and partly would love the idea of cooling off the car before i get in. The battery setup to do that might be tricky / expensive though.  Found this an interesting watch.
    • I put Whiteline pineapples in my old 33, they came in a 6 pack of them, got rid of the axle tramp altogether, cheap, quick and easy install,  they were pretty solid units though...???high durometer???? and NVH was increased a fair bit How hard are the ones you installed?
