WSID tonight, which tyre/wheel combo? your opinion wanted

Hey everyone,

Im going for my first ever street meet at WSID tonight and need some advice on which tyre/wheel combo i should use.

My choices are:

18" rims with a 225/40 Falken tyre

or

16" std rims with 205/55 Continental tyre

should i go wide but low profile or slightly more narrow with higher profile??

all opinions would be great!

Definitely the 16" wheels, and let the tyre pressure down to about 20psi

which tyres are on each rim, how sticky are they?

I would swap them over between runs, but I like to test stuff. :aroused:

Bugger fancy tyres, if you are out for a bit of fun...run what ya brung.

Just remember pull a huge burnout, and then dump 1st gear off the rev limiter...then after the run ya can always complain about traction probs.... with traction you could pulla 10

Id stick with the bigger sidewall tyre and drop pressure down to about 20psi like Merli said.

...and dont get hooked onthe stright line stuff....Skylines are supposed to brake and turn, not go in straight lines :jk:

haha yeah i was leaning towards the 16s.

dont worrry troy i have spent way to much money on my car to make it brake and turn well to forget about that.

i will let you know how it all goes.
