Like the tittle states, are there many memebers on here located in or near geelong?
ive seen a few skylines around and couple with SAU stickers.

would be cool to get to know some similar interested people, and have some small events happen closer to home.

make yourself known guys and lets see if we can have some more stuff happen here

cheers

yeah that might be a good idea, lets first get a few people together for a meeting, if we get say 4 or 5 yes's then we will put down a time and place somewhere close to Geelong at a car park or something and make a route and head off.

So thats like 3 people at this stage -

Myself (Dan)

Artic choc (Jake)

and dallionsaini

any others?

sounds like a good idea to me im keen for anything even just a small meet up to get things going
not being a nazi or any thing but wed have to make sure we dont have anyone being an idiot, nothing worse then one moron ruining it all for everyone (mind you our local cops dont see to even second glance imports here!) we may have to run in by a mod or some thing to check if its all good to represent SAU idk. if we get more people involved il dig into some info

Any event/gathering that you run wouldn't be affiliated with SAU or SAU VIC in any way, that said it's still best to warn and name / shame / report anyone who acts like an idiot at a gathering as they're hurting the entire car community as a whole.

Good luck with the get together!

Also, if you're an SAU VIC Member, come along to the cruise we're running in a few weeks! Great way to introduce yourself to the member base and get into it :D

Thanks Odium, we defiantly don't want/need people coming along to ruin it with inappropriate behaviour, that being said any gatherings we might have won't be affiliated with SAU or SAU VIC at all.

So hopefully some more people will show interest, and hopefully the weather holds up that way we could get together perhaps this weekend!

Hey Jack thats good to hear! we were thinking sunday afternoon, 2pm at easter beach car park, just look out for the other skylines!

I will be somewhere along the "shannons rival quarter mile" half way down or something. so yeah come along if you can! at the least lets get some geelong people together and then go from there depending on what the group wants to do, young yangs sound like a good drive, or even around the coastal towns etc.

so there we go 2pm Sunday at eastern beach car park water front, show up, bring your skyline, show your interest and amongst all meet some like-minded car enthusiasts!

Just a reminder to everyone interested in coming along:

2pm tomorrow arvo at eastern beach car park.

Please remember that we dont want any unwanted attention from the boys in blue(as there are alot of police around this weekend) and all acts of hooning and idiotic behavior will be reported

See yous there

    • It was roughly 3.5 hours.    car went in around 11:00 and I was done around 2:30 He did the initial runs, install the BC and then Nistune install and tune.  The best part was sitting in the lobby and hearing the skyline on full throttle at the dyno 😂😂
    • Glad it all went smooth. How long did the tuning process take?
    • Yeah that was kind of the same feedback my tuner gave me.  the boost tee is until I can sort out my plan for the electronic boost controller and what I’d get, where I’d mount the dash etc.  I’m happy with this until I can figure it out. Not a big fan of the A-pillar gauges. I’d like to get a clean install of the boost gauge - something digital like GFB.  Something like that might fit neatly where the ashtray is and look clean. I feel like replacing the OEM triple gauge is a bit extreme for a weekender like my skyline. And it’s not making crazy power to need all the additional sensors/gauges.
    • I'm about to swap my box to Tremec T56 Magnum F & initially thinking of re-using my DCS twin plate (can get it re centred for the bigger spline) but it's been called out the box will be noisy (rattle) as the clutch is unsprung.  So I'm doing as much research as possible. I'm not so worried about holding the power as I'll go the track version which on paper will hold the maybe 1000hp I make. It's the longevity I worry about. DCS told me they don't use a sprung centre as it's just something that can break. The uni clutch has a very complicated sprung centre. Any one had or heard about any issues with it failing? Thanks in advance.
    • Auto is at least 10% (from my real, actual experience with different torque converters and manual on the same setup) ~185rwkw at 11.6psi (peak!) is entirely what one would expect without a FMIC or anything else on the intake, it does bleed off towards the higher RPM so it's what, 9psi there? Note: There is nothing that can be done about this with a manual boost tee. If you want to hold it steady and gain more top end, well - You will need electronic boost control.....
