Hmm, maybe I should enter the beast. Should be run in by then. With Reece, Liz, me and prob Dave we just need Cassbo to make it a reunion tour!

Yes! Indeed you should. It's been a while!

It might be tight but my Riceline may be running come late October :D

Are skids allowed?

We are not allowed to drift the course, link up corners or keep your foot in it burnouts. But tyre slippage around such tight courses is to be expected. These are rules from insurance not us.

Yep definately not our choice... We <3 skids!

it's a shame really.

That's the reason I started going these.

Get the burnouts off the street and all.

Can't fight insurance though :(

It is an interesting rule they have created but we must operate within their regulations.

It does not take away the fun of the day :) Its still a cheap bit of fun

I think people might be getting too concerned about the change.

As I understand it the clarification was that this is a motorkhana, not a drift event.

So if you go out to link the whole course and do a few helis that's not OK.

If you spin the wheels launching, lock the wheels turning around a cone or even sliding around a given cone or 2 that would be OK. It's still great fun, and a great event for people to do their first motorsport event because it's easy on the car :)

I am quite concerned actually, as all I have been doing over the last two texi events were skids and linking corners. How strict will these rules apply to suppress ‘induced power sliding’?
