Exhaust Wrap In Perth

Hey guys,

Anyone aware of any places in perth that sell exhaust wrap. Yes I had a look in google and found a place in bibra lake and revolution race gear. Anyone aware of any other places?

Will try those guys cheers. Now that were on topic, some people say you should mist/wet it before wrapping pipes etc, is this the way to go? Sounds odd to me and it may rust the pipes. Thoughts?

haha ok then, well yeah you gotta make sure you wet the wrap first, soak it with heaps of water, then start at the bottom and work your way towards the engine, use stainless steel cable ties to hold it on, then once finished start car and it will dry it out/tighten the wrap around your exhaust as it gets hotter. Some people paint the wrap afterwards to seal it or make it look better.

Alright thanks mate. Whats the reason for soaking it in water before fitting?

lol but it has an effect on the wrap that shrinks it when wet, then once dry and heated up it will expand therefore clinging to your exhaust pipes better.

Thats another thing, be sure to wrap it firmly. I'm sure there would be a few video's on youtube if you get stuck.

Alright no worries. Was thinking of doing the crossover pipe and hot side of intercooler pipes for now as Im thinking of upgrading turbo and manifold later on so may leave them for now (or maybe do them anyway)

yeah either way it looks good and I think I read somewhere that it helps with exhaust flow? either way its a good idea to protect other things from getting to hot.
