Rust..

Hey,

Ive managed to find some time to mess around with my car, today I changed bonnets and when i was doing so, i found that the bonnet hinges had some rust on it.

So i got out some sand paper and sanded the paint away, some places i hit bare metal others i got down to primer.

If i rubbed it back to bare metal, would that be fine to put on my car like that, or will it need to be primed, or need some sort of paint?

Also is there a quiker way to get the paint off, like if i sat it in a bath of paint stipper over night, would this be a good idea?

Shouldn't be any problems, I wouldn't be worried, in all my life, I have NEVER EVER seen any rust on ANY bonnet hinge,

if it was me, it'd give it a quick hit with some cheap enamel paint that kinds matches my car colour. you may not see it, but you know its there! once it gets wet again, it is likely to rust straight away if it isnt painted.
