So I'm still learning manual atm have been practicing in my skyline and after about an hour or so of giving the clutch a hard time I could smell something burning, no smoke or anything. Is this just the clutch burning ? After really giving it a hard time. My shifting is still not the best and is quite jumpy. And if it is the clutch am i doing anything harmful enough to actually replace the clutch anything. Its a NPC carbiotic clutch + lightened flywheel. Thanks in advance!

Yes that clutch will not like it if you ride it. Ie staying on the friction point a long time.

And yes that is the clutch you are smelling.

Try this if you are still learning. Blip throttle to keep revs at about 1.5 - 2k rpm, as you are doing that start letting go of the clutch until you it starts to grab then just feather the clutch with the throttle. Easy peasy. My gf can do it. You can do it
