freyb
Got it from a friend who bought it from autobacs japan years ago. Hand carried it on the plane home. Stored in for years forgot the specs. I have attached some pictures to id it. I mocked it up against a stock rb25det r33 turbo -compressor housing looks same size -exhaust wheel is bigger than rb25det turbo -this garret turbo is oil cooled only -has a 5 bolt internal wastegate plate (rb20/25 has 6 bolts) with 3 bolt to exhaust dump pipe Compressor markings : > A/R .60 Garrett M10 A.0. 2 >430753-7X Exhaust Markings > DH 3/4 Garrett M4 > A/R 63 or 67 Garrett Plate Markings >14420-15P60 >444008-5 >SC 0125J >Made in Japan Is this a Journal bearing turbo or Ball bearing? would also put this in a r32 rb20det engine. Ben C34
Based on oil cooling only I will say it's a journal bearing. And not worth much. Do you plan on using it? I wouldn't bother. freyb
yep planning on using it. wondering if it will make more power than my current turbo (rb25det 21U) on my rb20det Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/448803-id-this-garret-turbo-t3-flange/#findComment-7393249 Share on other sites

I wouldn't bother. do u think this would make the same power as a rb25det (series 2 turbo nylon and ceramic wheel "45v2 21U") which is currently installed in my hcr32 rb20det. also got 500cc high impedance injectors (ASNU serviced) and nistune waiting to be put in as well. im thinking it will flow better because of the bigger exhaust wheel? and exhaust housing is slightly bigger than the stock r33 rb25det 45v2 21U turbo Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/448803-id-this-garret-turbo-t3-flange/#findComment-7393578 Share on other sites
SargeRX8
I'd try to ditch this turbo and see if you can pickup a highflow. Dicking around with this turbo, making a custom dump flange etc. Pain in the ass. I'd prefer to spend a little more on the turbo for a bolt on setup and harness more power and better performance all round(response and general feel). Response is the real factor with these sleeve bearings vs ball bearing/bush bearing Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/448803-id-this-garret-turbo-t3-flange/#findComment-7393694 Share on other sites
