jnr32r, that last one where i didnt wheelspin at all was my fastest 60ft time, with the 205 tyres i was using it meant i would either have loads of spin or bog down a little in order to hold traction, like adrian says its all about the tyres for that first 60ft, if i get some decednt drag radials i should be able to improve the time dramatically.

what 60ft times were you getting with the falken and the nittos adrian?

Adrian... sadly im working in Melb at the moment, when i get my car back ill give Calder a go, will see how the D01Js at 18psi hook up.... all this talk about drag racing has me curious as to what my car will do, though the times im more concerned about at Eastern Creek is a 1:46

Adrian nothing is confirmed about what discount and the night was really meant to be kept quietish as it isn't something being offered to everyone, its why its only posted in the NSW MEMBERS section and the amount of people is limited unless the spot your offering is your own? so please shut up

Dude, that's why I said what the RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE IS - i.e. I didn't say how much they would cost and only rpeated what BF said at Drag Combat.

Seems like a great incentive for people to join the club and have access to the members section if you ask me ;)

And no, I will never shut up. You know better than that.

Adrian

Thats a pretty decent ET.

If you want decent grip and cheap get your self a set of 225 16" Simex's.

They have a soft sidewall. Nice burnout and they get very sticky.

Hows your diff? its not openwheeling even slightly? Its worth around $350 to get them shimmed up nice and tight from a diff specialist.

Just exploring a couple options to help improve your 60ft.

I forget what your mods are?

Hey

Just curious what open wheeling is and what gets done when u shimm the diff???

Thanks

open wheeling is when your diff acts like a std diff and one wheel can openly wheelspin as aposed to an LSD (limited slip diff) which only lets one wheels spin a little before the other wheel kicks in also...

Anyway yesterday i was having a bit of a play on the old pacific hwy and managed to feel my diff open wheel a few times, its a bit spasmodic really, doesnt always happen...

but like yogi asked, im also interested to know exactly what they do to your diff when they "shim" it etc...
