Hi guys,

I'm looking at putting some Pro Rack Whispar Bars on the Stag. Pro Rack don't have a listing, but after I sent them some measurements, they've come back suggesting that the S45 or S42 may fit.

Understandably, they're not guaranteeing that they'll fit so my question is, has anyone fit some to their Stag?

Cheers,

- Lance

I got some Thule racks off a jeep. Most clamps will fit the rails so all you have to do is get the length - as a minimum you need the distance between the rail and a bit extra for the clamp and the maximum is whatever you are comfortable with.

Alternatively since I am now poor if you are ever down this way you can have mine (c/w keys) for $80!

Hey Bob,

I was looking at the Thule racks and I like them, but the Pro Rack have a sleeker profile on the clamp:

I guess I was more wondering if the clamping system would be suitable for the shape of the Stag rail. Now I know the Thule rack fits I can assume the ProRack could be worth a punt.

I will keep your offer in mind as $80 is a lot cheaper than the Pro Rack's will be haha.

Cheers for the info,

- Lance

Years back when racks were hard to get I made some out of GAL Tube and some Tee clamps. Cost about $10. Put tape around the fitted side rails so no damage. Have carried some serious cargo.
