Gday everyone,

Have been doing a bit of reading on the net but nothing has really stood out to me. Those that actually use their car for track work what offset do you use?

Looking to buy a set of 17s to use, but unsure of the best offset. Dont want to use spacers.

Im thinking something around the -10 or -20 is the go? Remembering this isnt a registered car.

Cheers

I can't remember, are you running modified knuckles? Do you happen to know what your camber, caster and SAI/KPI is? I'd probably stay away from running a negative offset, but if you want to go all out, by all means, please do. Just be sure to post pics when you do :P

Standard knuckles? 9.5+20 is about ideal on an R32. Search wheel offset calculator and plug in your rim width and try and keep your inner clearance about the same.

I had issues with my 17x9+30 R33 GTR's hitting on the chassis (as Tim knows :P)

Thanks mate, guess i dont need to go with a negative offset. I just wanted to give the wheels the best chance to no scrub at full lock. Plus have a decent track for control.

Yeah standard knuckles.

Guard to tire will be the worst offender. What width wheel will you use?

I use 9.5 and find a 235/45 is too tall, will be changing to a 225/40 or a 215 if I have to, would like to stick with the 225 though.
