Hello guys,

Up for sale is my 1999 Series 2 WGNC34 Stagea, Its an Automatic 4wd with a genuine 100,000km's on the clock. First and foremost i want to say straight out that this is an honest car with an honest background and genuine reason behind selling it as is. No bullsh*t and no hidden surprises! That being said let me begin.

History:

I purchased this car upon returning from living in Canada. I purchased the car from pickles Auctions in Tullamarine Vic as a Repairable write-off. I am a full time high performance mechanic which enables me to purchase cars with a very good understanding of what has gone on with them and realistically how much it would cost ME to repair and not someone on a retail level. I got in contact with the previous owner of this vehicle (funnily enough found him on this forum) and i got a detailed history of the vehicle and excactly what happened with it.

The car was parked one night in his neighbourhood with 2 of his downhill mountain bikes in the back of it (over 10k worth of bikes) when the car was stolen. No glass was broken or pillars damaged during the theft, nor any external locks which leads me to thinking maybe it was accidently left unlocked???

Anyway, the car was pinched and must have been driving fast to get away and the thief V8 supercar driver put the car into a gutter. The car received damage to the front left Castor rod and steering rack. the initial impact from the front pulled the car around and the rear left then made soft contact with the gutter at a 90degree angle, resulting in damage to the rear left control arms. No damage was done to the cradle as far as i can see.The car was then left and the bikes were stolen from the back.

As far as i can make out from his story is that he was claiming the bikes through his insurance and he had the choice of taking the stagea back but chose not too because he wanted to get a 4wd anyway to better suit his mountain biking needs.

So in all honesty i do not believe that this car should ever have been classified as a write-off but being an inport i guess the repair parts were all Nissan retail prices so here we are.

My Intentions:

I purchased this vehicle as i saw the potential to get a stagea registered for my personal use for a VERY cheap price (my 3rd in total). I also have an R34 and have since realised that allthough i love stagea's or their drivability on long trips and the practicality thats comes with them, They really are just a 34 wagon and if i am going to be paying rego on 2 cars I want to have 2 things that are different from one another. This is the absolute honest reason I am selling.

My repairs:

To comply with the Vicroad requirements to have a repairable write-off re registered, I have a stack of photo's of the vehicle from when it was purchased, I also have photo's of the parts being replaced with the old damaged parts next to the new ones in the same photo's to show that the old parts werent repaired. I am overly thorough with this sort of stuff and remember, I was doing this with the intention of the car being my own so this is not a 'thrown together' abortion.

I replaced all the control arms in the rear left. I also have a low KM driveshaft for the same side in case the driveshaft was damaged during the knock.

I have replacement castor arms for both sides, I have not fitted them as I was going to put brand new OEM bushes in them before i fit them, the front left allready has a replacement castor rod in it currently however the bush is starting to crack (may or may not pass roady)

I have a complete replacement steering rack out of an 60,000km Stagea that i imported direct from Japan.

Interior:

Car has the original Xanavi double din Japan unit however i have also imported the alternate center console trim so that this unit can be removed and a regular single din CD player can be fitted. This conversion is often done because the OEM unit can not usemost of the functions like the japanese TV or the navigation. All that is required to do the conversion is a conversion loom can be made or purchased from Japan, and you need to purchase the stand alone Climate control module ( i have allready got one which I imported from japan)

The car trim is in Fantasic 9/10 condition with next to no rips or tears. all trim pieces are clean and no scratches. It also has some VERY rare GENUINE factory MOMO floor mats. these are the only set i have actually seen in person.

Only bad side of the interior is that the steering wheel is cracking as its been parked for so long. These can be sourced easily in Australia.

Exterior:

Factory Day-Z body kit which is my favourite of all the stagea options.

The overall paint is very good. There are a few dints on the car but these are cheaply removed by paintless dent removal guys for less the $200 for all of them on this car if you wanted to make it mint. There is no paint missing or cracked where the dints are, again, i am just anal about my cars so this was something i was going to do.

The front bumper could do with a respray as it has damage from when it has been on a trailer at some point (i did not do it and was devostated when i saw it). buit that is by far the worst part of the exterior.

It is on R34 GTT rims. the fronts have got Bridgestone potenza RE002's that have about %85 life left on them. they were purchased about 4 months ago and were on my R34 untill i got some wrims for it. The backs are china specials with about %70 tread left.

It will also come with a spare set of 17" rims that have dedicated snow tires on them so it is perfect for changing the wheels over before a trip up to the snow :)

Mechanical:

The car is mechanically standard and the previous owner has assured me that the car was serviced every 5,000km's with premium oils and genuine filters. the car has no leaks as far as i can see, the diff and transmission are both dry with no fluids on the outside (love nissans lol)

So to recap, I have decided to sell the car as it is now, complete with all the parts to replace to make it finished and basically ready to take for its VIV inspection at Vicroads. This is not a dodgy add, I can promise and garuntee that I have not even tried to take this to get inspected because even If i did get it re-registered the fact that it would be listed as a 'repairable write-off' may scare off any potential buyer EVEN THOUGH the fact that it would have passed the inspection means Vicroads are garunteeing the vehicle to be as safe as new. So I am selling a very very clean nice car for a good price for someone who can fix it themselves and have a stagea on the road for around 6k.

Selling price for the car is $5,000 firm with all the bits i have for it including the second set of snow wheels and probably a 2nd set of R34wheels aswell to be honest. I garuntee this car will not dissapoint and will be a fantastic car for the new owner for years to come!
