Driving The Car Hard After Long Periods Bad? (Track Days Etc..)

Recommended Posts

Yeah it'll be fine. Dump the Castrol and use the good Penrite or Nulon oil (about $75/5L).

Will do! Thanks man :) Penrite Racing 10? 10w40? or 15w50?

Premium 5 (5w60) lol. Sounds like your pressure drop was worse than mine with the Racing 10 in it.

BTW, after a track day, where the motor saw 130+°C oil temps on every session (need an oil cooler), never had pressure issues with the Premium 5 ;).

Penrite Premium 5-60? I used 10-40 racing the last time on the track (with an oil cooler) but oil pressure seems weird. Sometimes its ok sometimes its not. Mind you I am only going by the stock gauge which is known not to be the most accurate. You reckon I should try the 5-60?
