Blowing smoke sometimes out the catch can vent. 120psi roughly across all six, shes a bit tired

120 psi across all 6 - it could go for a few more years depending on how you treat it. Instead of venting your catch can plumb it to your turbo intake with an oil/air seperator in the line.

yeah rings are to blame. You could do a leakdown and find out for sure

Burning much oil? not uncommon for factory RB's to do that.

Mine burns about 400ml per 1000kms; more when it's given a hard time

Venting the can to atmosphere is illegal and unnecessarily dumps really nasty crap into the air. You should plumb the vent into the factory breather fitting, that is, insert the catch can in the factory system, in the line that runs from the cam covers to the connection in the inlet.

If you do that, you'll totally get more hot babes because you will be far more awesome.

Pull the plugs. Squirt a little oil into each cylinder. Retest. If the compression comes up it its more likely to be rings. If not then valves. But having said that with the uniformity that you have its more likely rings.

I wouldn't bother looking into it. If the engine is tired just plan a rebuild or new motor. Knowing more about it doesn't change anything.

You still have to pull the engine apart. And once apart, you may as well fix the whole thing.

Just put more boost into the motor, will make up for the low compression
