R33 Gearbox Conversion

Hi. So I want to convert my 1996 r33 gtst rb25det from auto to manual , so people talk about changing the ecu , so what do I actually need to do to convert it , how simple is it ? Can I put an r32 box in an r33 I heard the Speedo set up is different??, all and any help is appreciated

Ideally us3 a manual ecu.

Dont use the crusty rb20 box.

It will be very hard for you based on my estimation of your mechanical ability.

Na I've got a mechanic doing it for me , I just wanna sort it out before I take it to him

You don't reckon using a 20det box is good enough , what's up with the Speedo set up difference between a 32 and 33 ?

Yes there is a speedo set up difference. Doesn't matter, because it's not the choice of manual gearbox that solves your ECU problem. Also, you would NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER choose to put an RB20DET box behind an RB25DET. Never. Put it from your mind.

You can use the auto ecu and loom and also cut down the brake pedal instead of a new one, and when you get the gear for it make sure the clutch bracket is not cracked.
