Rear Wiper

When I insert key to start, at the stage where the key is at the ON position the rear wiper starts to move then stops after about 1/4 of a sweep. The same thing happens when I turn the key off. This all happens when the control switch is in the off position.

Any ideas?

Have you added any wiring or fiddled with any?

I had a bad connection in an old car that resulted in the washer coming on when the radio was turned on.

I have just done some wiring but not connected to wiper system. I tapped into the feed to the front cigarette lighter.
