I currently have a open diff and want to put a LSD in. I have a r32 with a 25det neo in it. What are your thoughts on this diff? i can get one for a good price. Heard they a good option if wanting better acceleration. But will it be too much for everyday driving

I've had 4.6's in my NA R32 for a year now which is daily driven and occasionally drifted. I wouldn't have any bad feedback for them.

I would be inclined to keep my 4.6's if I went turbo as well.

Std R32 GTSt is 4.3:1. Auto and manual are two different gear tooth counts that come out to 2 different but very close versions of 3.2 IIRC. Doesn't matter, it's all same same anyway.

Std R33 manual is 4.11. Autos are 4.08 I think. Again, close enough.

For RB20 turbo 4.3 is pretty good. 4.11 is perhaps a bit too tall although it might make 2nd gear a bit nicer. I spent most of my RB20 time with an RB25 NA gearbox, which has slightly different ratios that I found to be better than std RB20DET box ratios, so my memory of 2nd gear in RB20s is clouded by that.

4.6 would be far too short for a turbo. You need at least some load on the engine to make it make boost. 4.6 would be fine for a torqueless NA 20 though. They need all the help they can get for the rice custard skinning tasks that they get put to.
