I raised the issue of multiple stickies with other mods/admin some time ago now... i got no response at all.

However, rather than just complain about it, I have an alternative to offer.

Here is my vision....

1/ One thread for all stickies.

All information that is important can be stuck into one thread, with descriptive links so people have easy access to the threads.

2/ New stickies could remain as stickies for a couple of weeks, and then added to the list.

The Victorian section has one of these threads, and it works well.

We have one sticky, and all the important info that is needed can be accessed from the one sticky.

...like i said, it's just a vision.. but it could work.

Either that, or create another sub forum for announcements and stick them all in there. *shrug*

Problem with stickies is they are actually easier to ignore I find :D

LW.

i agree.

you keep seeing the same thing every time and after a while it becomes part of the background

as mentioned (sky031) the vic section has the 'one sticky to rule them all' thread which contains links to all the top-notch threads in the vic section. works pretty well i think.

Guys, I am in the middle of performing a moderator review to put new ones on etc. I can't keep track of everything on my own. I will be asking for moderator submissions shortly with precendence going to members who have donated.

Thanks.

Christian

good work

:(

i think its well setup now for the different forums. Too many mods was pointless too

The only other idea i had once was for breaking down into car.. r31, r32, r33, r34, etc to encourage a bit more focus on those that have specific questions on their cars. But i am sure this has been suggested

I think a few are scared to post on their car (especially simple questions) due to fear of people bagging them, or getting ignored.

yeah predator, i would like to seperate it into model - only problem is that the GTR's are all so alike, it'd be silly to have 3 areas for them. And the R33/34 Gtst's have the same engine also etc... It just didn't seem like a great idea... or do you mean as well as the normal forums we have? cause that might be a good idea...
