Thanks Luke

I figured they have done this type of build many times and if something was not as they wanted they would have stopped and fix it.

It always helps to have people looking over my shoulder helping out :)

Cheers

That seems like a lot of work and extra parts because they did not set it up properly in the first place and having extra moving parts is always best avoided :/

Ben, I will let you know what they end up doing.

CRD used to be on these forums and a Trader. Although I don't believe they have logged in (under their CRD username) for many years now. The reason why - I don't know.

However, I am sure they are aware one way or another if their shop name comes up on SAU.

Most shops keep a quiet eye on SAU. Your kidding yourself if you think they don't.

Just food for thought.

:camping:

I just wanted to use ^

BTW Peter they built my engine and 3 years on it's still running very strong without any issues.

They have done all my work and always did it for the price quoted and on time and I have always been happy.I do not remember the last time I used their company name on SAU

I am sure they know what is going on , maybe registered as John Smith but I do not care. There is nothing I say here I do not say to them, well actually I do not say that much on SAU and do not put shit on their work and up until 6 weeks ago have sung their praise and defended their work, I got what I asked for from them, my car starts hot/cold and keeps going.

What pissed me off to start with was the car sat in the shop for 5 weeks without a spanner being turned, I had already paid for parts needed and had everything delivered in July "before I dropped the car off". But then got the ongoing mushroom treatment :(

Late in the work they found a broken part in the trannie but if they had started the work when the car was dropped off there would not have been a problem getting the part replaced in time.

Shit they started looking for the RB30 block it in July and it took months to find one. I did not know how hard it would be to find one but the blokes on SAU said they were easy enough to get, but?

5 weeks - Pffft !

Unless your very special then you have several more months to wait.

Time and Money It's never what you were expecting/quoted.

Well well well, 7 months and almost complete ,that was quick Daz, well almost quick, LOL

You blokes really have patients , I hate the mushroom treatment :(

Why cant these people stop taking work they have no chance of finishing in the time they quote, it is stupid and they waste their time moving them around like musical chairs, so they can work on the one behind it , or behind that one. They spend the first and last 1/2 hour or so putting cars out on the street/yard so they have room inside to work ???????? :/

Got me stuffed :)

GTR's sound like a nightmare, atleast with a GTS-T you could pretty much do all the labour yourself and just pay the pro's to do the machining side of it, if you had your own hoist it could be done a lot easier though, that's the biggest hurdle for the home mechanic I reckon, working off the garage floor.

haha, I would end up on the floor trying to work on my car, STUFFED BACK and an old fart, so doing the work is out of the question, shit I have trouble fixing my kids Bikes :)

What's the difference? The GTR box is a bit heavier, it can still be done.

I did all mine myself :)
