Malteaz
Hi all, Have been looking for a few days on the forums for the location of the coolant temp sensor on a R32 gts-t. A picture woudl be great help, but even a description of where it's located would be awesome. Also if you could point me in the direction of the CAS (Crank angle sensor) as well. Thanks for your help. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/450231-coolant-temp-sensor-and-cas-location-r32-gts-t/ Share on other sites
Ben C34
Don't do it man. Can't find it can't fix it. You will probably snap it off or cross thread it It something even more mental than that. What do you plan on doing to the cas? How come you don't Google image search rb25 cas. It's not hidden. But DONT DO IT. TAKE IT SOMEWHERE. Malteaz
Hi I dont really want to touch the cas as i hear you have to put it back exactly the way you found it. It's more for future reference. I more so want to know where the coolant temp sensor is so i can get the part number off it to buy a new one. niZmO_Man
http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/nissan-skyline-r32-gtst-electrical-ignition-fuel-c-21_22_24_144.html CAS = right side (passenger side) camshaft, grey/silver round thing with a plug on it. Has three bolts. Temp sensor = follow the radiator hoses until you see two probe things with wires coming out of it, driver's side of the engine. The yellow plug one is the one you're after (has two pins). iruvyouskyrine
Coolant temp sensor is a green plug on the drivers side of radiator. jiffo
Coolant temp sensor is a green plug on the drivers side of radiator. No mate, that's the thermo switch for the aircon's thermo fan. As posted already, just follow the top radiator hose and you'll come across both temp senders. The single wire sender is for the dash gauge and the twin wire one is for the ecu. Then if you're really keen, you'll find another in one of the coolant pipes at the firewall. That one is for the aircon control unit. Crazy complicated cars these old things. I had a massive mental blank, no idea why I thought that was the coolant temp sensor :| Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/450231-coolant-temp-sensor-and-cas-location-r32-gts-t/#findComment-7417863 Share on other sites
